From experience, they knew to protect the dunes, forests, and marshes because those were their greatest protection from hurricanes and storm-surge. They avoided building right on the beach because it was too vulnerable to storms and erosion.

With startling honesty and courage, the teenagers delve into harrowing experiences as varied as abuse, homelessness, the suicide of a parent, mental illness, self-harm, and bullying. Cameras document the process from start to finish, following the “Project: Shattered Silence” cast and their inspiring artistic director and creator, Jared O’Roark, on their 10-month journey. The rare, behind the- scenes access captures the evolution of the production over time and also reveals the amazing personal breakthroughs and transformations that take place along the way.

2019 Little League Challenger Exhibition Game  – is designed for Physically and Mentally Challenged players (girls and boys) from 4 to 22 years of age. The program was established in 1989 to make the game of baseball accessible and fun for boys and girls with physical and mental challenges.  The success has grown the program to more than 30,000 participants over 900 Challenger Divisions worldwide.

Their stories shed light on the nationwide crisis of support for adults with disabilities and the profound benefits of the one-on-one relationships formed between these men and the people they care for.
